Field-Deployed Construction Management and Cost Control Platform
Replaced PlanGrid and disconnected accounting with a unified iPad-deployed platform, wired into Vista ERP for live job-cost visibility across hundreds of devices.

A commercial construction firm operating across multiple active job sites relied heavily on PlanGrid (similar to Procore-class tooling) for field documentation, alongside disconnected accounting systems tied to a Vista ERP database. Licensing costs were high, field data was siloed from finance, and project-level cost visibility lagged behind real-time execution.
We engineered and deployed a fully proprietary construction management and accounting platform, rolled out to hundreds of iPads across job sites. The system unified field reporting, document control, budgeting, takeoff tools, invoicing, and cost tracking, while integrating directly with the company’s Vista ERP database to maintain financial integrity and eliminate duplicate data entry.
The decision
The decision was to replace PlanGrid and disconnected accounting workflows with a proprietary iPad-based platform integrated directly with Vista ERP. That kept financial integrity in the existing ERP while bringing field documentation, drawings, takeoffs, safety, invoicing, and job-cost visibility into one operating system.
Platform architecture
- iPad-native field application deployed across hundreds of devices for real-time jobsite updates and documentation.
- Digital plan management + markups replacing PlanGrid for drawings, revisions, and issue tracking.
- Integrated takeoff tools for project cost estimation, quantity tracking, and budget alignment.
- Direct Vista ERP integration to synchronize accounting, job cost data, and financial reporting.
- Field reporting + safety management including daily logs, incident tracking, and compliance documentation.
Insights Earned Across Industries
Every industry has its own language. But many of the hardest software problems repeat: messy workflows, disconnected systems, complex permissions, reporting gaps, and users who need better tools to do their jobs. Stratos works across healthcare, financial services, benefits, logistics, real estate, education, music technology, and other operationally complex sectors. That breadth gives us more than category familiarity. It gives us a working library of proven patterns. Clients benefit not only from what we understand about their industry, but from what we have already solved in others.
Reusable lessons. Faster decisions. Stronger software.
